Cross-frontier cooperation will reinforce economic, social and environmental activities through common strategies of sustainable territorial development and by encouraging the spirit of business enterprise, culture and cross-frontier commerce; better protection and joint management of the environment; support for connections between urban and rural areas; less isolation, by improving access to transport networks and services, to information and communication and to cross-frontier networks of water, waste management and energy; development of collaboration and use of joint infrastructures.
